listening to um-kalthoum aka al malika…i LOVE this woman she is simply perfection…i’ve been listening to her since i was a child and i can never get over her voice and her strength…i think my love for her developed because of baba, i think he’s her ultimate fan he knows every single word to every single one of her songs…whenever we’re flipping through channels and she comes on i mute and give baba a pop quiz and he ALWAYS gets the song right… he can listen to part of the music, no lyrics and tell what the song is

my 1st time “listening” to um-kalthoum came through baba…he sang “enta el 7ob” to me and i fell in love…after listening to um-kalthoum myself i understood baba’s love for her..the arab world’s love to her: she is truly a QUEEN

she’s on rotana tarab right now and baba just walked in…she’s OUR bond…growing up i was so jealous that my sister spent hours talking to baba, confiding in him but i was never able to i just didn’t know how to “talk” to him…mama told baba how i felt and one day without any indication that he knew he asked if i wan ted to go for a ride i said yes…we drove around all over kuwait listening to um-kalthoum we didn’t say a word it was just the two of us and her..we would come home by the time the song was over and i was HAPPY…we bonded through her…we haven’t done that in a while but whenever she’s on we call each other or give each other a look and we know…i even called him once with an ihda’a and he was in a meeting o ma 6anashny! he listened said “ok baba” and hung up…i love him and i love her

fashionated has a booboo :(

was in the hospital yesterday

i went to international clinic first they didn’t do much so i went home then it got REALLY worse i was throwing up nonstop kent bamoot so my mom takes me to mubarak and i’m surprised to say they were better! i usually hate mubarak and complain about them but they were very thorough with me and although the emergency doctor kan nafoos the egyptian doctor who later saw me was really nice

i never knew i was such a baby! they admitted after an hour in the emergency room and the nurse comes in to insert my IV and i freak out..i hate needles! so i look at my mom i look at the nurse and i’m like “i’m ok i’m ok lets go home” and  the nurse tricks me!

nurse: i will only take blood

me: ok

she reaches for my hand (they usually take blood from ur arm and not ur hand so i’m skeptical)

me: ur lying to me why are u taking blood from here?

nurse: i’m not lying i’m taking blood, look

i open my eyes and she is taking blood so i relax

nurse: the needle’s already inside see? i will connect ur IV now

she tricked me!

ok so i won’t bore u with the rest of the details but i begged and i begged and they let me go home under my own discretion and i felt much better as soon as i got home..got a good night’s sleep and i’m feeling ok now except for the pain in my tummy

as much as i HATE being sick i was overwhelmed by the treatment i got..6ab3an my parents needless to say were more than amazing but i was surprised at my friends, sej khaloony speechless…one of them drove me home and was so nice about it even when i started throwing up (she had a really important meeting and ditched it for me!) o my best friend met me at home and held my hair the ENTIRE time i was throwing up..i NEVER let anyone into the bathroom with me bas zafatny o she locked the door on us o she just stayed with me the entire time..A7EBHA etyanen wala then she drove me and mama to the hospital and stayed with us till they admitted me..ma etyanen??

o mama 7ayaty was so amazing ams, she held my hand o she hugged me o dala3atny o stayed with me alllll day even when i fell asleep, she just sat next to me o every time i woke up she’d be there caressing my head..7ayaty ehya :***

o 6ab3an the icing on the cake is baba who got me these gorgeous flowers when i got home :*

  

the bouquet to the left is actually from our garden and the one on the right is from the florist but both were put together by baba
