b4 i begin my story let me just say: i looked gorgeous tonight! no seriously i did…i looked like something out of bollywood (if they had chubby actresses )

i wore a royal blue sari with silver trimming..my hair was tied in a low bun, parted in the middle with a silver jewel gracing my forehead…i wore bangles and gorgeous heels

fyi it took 45 mins to get the sari on! my dad called over 2 indian members of his staff who put it on me but the end result was fabulous

SOOO…i get there with my sis we were a bit late so when walked in everyone looked our way (i hate it when that happens but blame the sari) everyone was commenting on my indian look o kelman was in a dara3a except me but i luvd it (let me take a moment here to stress my obsession with everything indian)

1st encounter is with lovely old lady sitting to my right: she reached out for my hand, leaned in and said “chan zain low kel el hanadwa 7elween chethy” racist but AAAWWWWWW i blushed thanked her and smiled

2nd encounter with mean old lady..no 2 mean old ladies:

witch: are u indiaaaan? (thick q8i accent)

me: laa ana q8ia

witch: weeee o ana 6ool hal moda agool meno hal hendeya??

witch #2: eeee men awal ma dakhaltay o e7na engool meno hal hendeya

me: smile (??)

witch: la bas ya3ny hendeya hendeya

me: zain ashwa ya3ny thab6a el door (still smiling)

witch: entai men benta?

me: ana bent 3amat el 3aroos (not gona share my name with a rude lady)

witch: enzain laish emsawya eb 3umrech chethyyyy? (keep the accent in mind)

me: el theme dararee3 gelt albes sari..ya3ny taghyeer (still freakin smiling)

witch #2: (betrage3) eee e7na gelna akeed bent el safeer el hindi

shakoooo??

thats when i smiled and walked away

AND NOW: a glimpse of my sari (i’m obsessed :P)

my boss refers to me as:

• little one

• youngster

is she referring to my age or size?
